The clarinet has quite an important role: The 1st cl. has a solo
that represents the last cry before the axe comes down, there's
the 2nd cl and Eb solo melody in the last mvt that certainly
dominates.
I played the piece (2nd clarinet, and therefore 1st cl in mvt 5)
just a few months ago, so it's still fresh in my mind if you've
got any specific questions. I'm just not quite sure what you
want.
