The recording of Benny Goodman with Copland conducting released on CBS
(a re-release on CD) is, in my opinion the reference. It contains
equally wonderful historical recordings of Benny in Bartok's
Kontrasts, Bernstein Fugue and Riffs etc... Next in line are the
performances of Stolzmann (on RCA) and Paul Meyer (on Denon).

Really a recording to sherish.

Someone commented earlier that they were unable to get the disk Blues for
Sabine.
I know that there are a few sitting on the shelf at A&B Sound in Calgary,
also here is a number you can try to order from...

A&B Sound: 1-800-663-0596
outside North America: (604) 435-8333 Fax: (604) 430-5457

They told me that Eddie Daniels disk (with the Composers String Quartet)
was not available but I still recieved it.

Blues for Sabine: EMI - 724355525321
Eddie Daniels, Clarinet Quintets: RR - 3091110402

Also, I'm looking for an excellent recording of the Copland Concerto. I
have one with Eduard Brunner playing and the more I listen to it the more
discouraged I am getting.

Thanks,
Nichol Kadler
