Thanks, Steve. I'm doing this as a learning exercise, not to save money.
Although
I'd like to have the clarinet be playable when I'm done (I've got to
replace ALL
the pads, yet), as I said, it'll be my first clarinet lamp if my repair
work is
not successful. Rest assured I will take my R-13 to a repair shop when
it needs
work.

I really appreciate the information.
