In a message dated 97-10-26 01:25:56 EDT, you write:

<< If I audition a mouthpeice, and it's harder, how will I know what size
reed
to use?? >>

I'd expirement. Borrow a soft, medium, and hard reed from friends (or if you
have several strengths that you've saved, then more power to you). See what
works best at producing a good sound from that mouthpiece, and then decide if
that is the sound you want. Most of the time, catalouges, or music sites on
the web, will tell you information about what stenghth of a reed to use, then
the above about expirementing is not neccessary. If you need some music
sites, tell me, and I'll give you some links.
