I've never seen a "1" although I suppose it's possible. The number in
general identifies the relative tip opening. The 2 is around 1.02 mm and
the openings increase from there as the model number increases. The "P"
facing is Gigliotti's "personal" facing - it actually is the one he uses,
and the tip is closer to 1 mm and also longer from where the curve begins
to the tip (about 37-38 on a Brand gauge, which is about 19 mm with the
.0015" feeler in the Brand kit). The "P34" is supposed to be the same tip
opening, but with a shorter curve, 34 (17 mm) on the Brand gauge with the
same feeler. So far as I know, the numbered facings are all around 17 mm
lengths, but I haven't measured one in a long time. This may be much more
than you wanted to know, but there it is!
