Sounds like you're bumming. I teach in a small town south of Houston. We
are only 30 miles away from a major metro area, yet have trouble getting
private lesson teachers out here. None of my clarinet players has what I
would consider a bad tone quality now. I make it a sense of personal pride
that they play well. Their parents paid alot fot those instruments and when
they came through my door they wanted to learn how to play.
I do want to ask about the upset stomache when trying to support. I have a
kid who is diabetic and gets upset stomaches when she plays. Is this the
problem or is it something else related to her illness. I told her to make
sure to mention it to her doctor so we can find out.
