I did decide to take a bit of a bold step and told my beginner clarinet
players who were having headaches using size 3 reeds to go to size 2.5. I
had one kid quit because of headaches! I never knew. I need to save the
students I have. When my supervisor asks why, that's what I'll tell him. I
want the kids to enjoy playing and learning music. Not get tired of the
drudgery.
