Klarinet Archive - Posting 000900.txt from 1997/10
From: "David C. Blumberg" <reedman@-----.com> Subj: THE ULTIMATE CLARINET MIDI SITE!!!!! Date: Thu, 23 Oct 1997 09:58:19 -0400
There is a site by George Klimowicz that if you haven't seen yet, and are
into Clarinet midi accompaniments, this is a MUST SEE. George gave me the
nod to post his address (I brought it up, he was too modest), so here it is:

http://www.execpc.com/~klimowic/

Let him know if you appreciate his extensive work. I'll tell ya, I can't
get enough of this site.
There are over 2000 (two-THOUSAND!!!!!!)clarinet midi's there, so if you
only see 40-50, you haven't even begun to scratch the surface. There are
several areas, and levels of the areas. I give the nod to Mike Moors site
which originally led me to it. http://edcen.ehhs.cmich.edu/~mmoors/
George's intent is to provide Virtual Accompianments that can be used to
practice with, and to give Clarinet enthusiasts literature that can be
heard first, before buying. They are meant to be played on a midi player
that the speed can be adjusted (notation programs do that too), so if you
prefer to practice slowly at first, and then speed up the tempos to
performance level. He doesn't sell music, but does list the publishers of
the books. Many files are zipped, so if you see an icon to download, there
are probably 10-20 files in the zip file.
