I view myself as an experienced professional clarinetist/bass clarinetist.
Frankly, I see no problem with penciling fingerings in (R for Right, L for
Left, K for Fork, etc.) I even pencil special fingerings in the borders
of private music when I want to remember which worked best for that
particular passage.

Even the best professionals (in best orchestras) write in fingering cues.
There is no reason not too.
