While this has been gone over in some detail, I would like to ask,
specifically in response to Mr. Graham's request that people start
looking at excerpts much in advance, what excerpts are most commonly
asked for, and where I might obtain copies. Those in Orchestral Excerpt
books usually aren't in full, so is one expected to play an entire
piece, or just parts, and what if the part asked for isn't there? Is it
better to obtain full copies of this stuff?

Being only 16, I have a ways to go before I audition for an orchestra,
but I would really like to look at some of this stuff now, so I have a
better idea of what is required of players at that level.

Thanks!
