Sort of - the Rossi mechanism is much simpler (at least compared to my
Selmer bass) because it's not connected to the r.h. keys; on the bass the
two keys open as register vents for different notes. On the Rossi the extra
vent is only linked to the throat Ab key, so it only opens for throat Bb.
Works great btw, and the intonation is better than any other clarinet I've
had a chance to play.

Re side Bb, having large and (I guess) relatively flexible hands, when I
played Buffet and B&H clarinets I used to use the side Bb as often as
possible. I can reach it by rocking my right hand with all four fingers
down on the keys, so I can (eg) use the side key as a register vent for B
or C when I want a really low one (for a third of G or Ab triad).
