You could try using the second trill key from the top (instead of the
register key) with the A key.
However, this may well be sharp, and this fingering doesn't respond well
to attempts to improve it by closing other holes. Have you tried opening
the C#/G# key? The low F/C or E/B also can help; as you've probably found,
keeping one of these open as appropriate in passages across the break is a
good idea anyway. You may be using a reed which is too hard for your
mouthpiece, or is coming to the end of its useful life.
