I haxe found that playing clarion G-C on bass easier than E-F#.
Check to see if your left index finger is covering the tiny hole on
that key. Also, check that the bridge keys are working properly.

IMPORTANT: Remember, keys go out of adjustment quicker and easier on
larger instruments such as the bass, etc. because of the length of
these darn pieces of metal. Have your larger instruments checked
regularly.
