Anything recorded prior to magnetic tape is virtually certain to be
one-take, at least in 3-5 minute segments due to the limitations of the
shellac masters. The Benny Goodman recordings of the Mozart Concerto and
K.581 Quintet may be. They were recorded at the Berkshire Festival in
1956, I believe in live performance, although the program notes are not clear.
