I don't know about the majority of "professional" bass clarinettists, but
I, a bass clarinettist of a year, and clarinettist of a few more, use
primarily tenor sax reeds...... I like how they play, and they're easier to
come by in the South Shore of Nova Scotia, where its about an hour to the
nearest music store anyway.
