Roger--

In response to your request for opinions...

I joined this list because it is a clarinet list pertaining to the
clarinet and related first, and music in general second. If I wanted
more information about the saxophone or flute, I would have searched for
an appropriate list. Obviously, I would like to see the list maintained
accordingly.

There are also other considerations. First, if the list is to include
questions, comments, etc. pertaining to flute or saxophone, the list
becomes a "woodwind" list--not a clarinet list. In addition, most list
members receive upwards of 30 e-mails per day (unless it is a very slow
day). To expand the list for other instruments only increases the
number of e-mails.

The reality is, however; that we live in a democracy, and ANY censorship
is a violation of 1st Amendment rights. I would not want the list
censored to violate anyone's rights, as the situation could be me asking
clarinet questions on a saxophone or flute list.
