It's fine that you believe this, and there may be some truth to it, but look
at it this way: there are 90 year old musicians who will tell you that they
are still discovering new things in every piece of music they play. However,
the time you have to develop your instrumental skill to the degree necessary
to get out there and make a living is limited. If you can't play the notes in
tune and in time, what exactly is "musical" anyway?
