Just want to point out to the younger readers that most of your comments apply
equally well to students who are preparing solos for contest at the junior
high and high school level. My daughter was complimented by her judges on her
professional, business-like appearance. She wore a simple, comfortable,
mid-calf length, black dress, black flats, and her hair in a simple chignon.
(She got a "I" rating by the way).
