While I am not Dan, I must interject a question: What do you mean by "the
Juilliard model"? You seem to be implying that Juilliard's approach is to
develop technique at the expense of musicianship and I am wondering how you
came to that conclusion, if, in fact, you did (I did note the question mark
after the phrase, after all...) ???

Also, is your question for Dan meant to suggest that YOU believe most
recordings are devoid of feeling or rather that it seems to you that DAN
harbors such an opinion?
