Okay, I admit it--the gum was a no brainer, and of course I made my
student spit it out. As for crossing the ankles, I appreciate the
constructive comments. Since I play double lip and have wrist problems,
I'll stop feeling guilty using the extra support! As for my student,
I've decided to try to wean her--she needs to learn how to hold the
instrument instead of letting her legs do it for her.
