Usually I find Dan Leeson's comments are a very good reason to read the
digest, but I have to take exception to his statement that in the last 30
years, one recording of Mozart's Clarinet Concerto could be interchanged with
another. To my semi-developed ear, I hear a great difference in the three
recordings of Karl Leister that I've heard. And the Harold Wright / Boston
Symphony recording is different from any of these. Charles Neidich and
David Shifrin's recordings using the basset clarinet are quite different
from each other.

Am I alone in this opinion?
