I wonder if the shorter one could be a high pitch Bb? Occasionally,
mistaken for a clarinet in B, I understand.

Subject: Buffet Albert System

I just saw two Buffet Albert System clarinets in a pawn shop. One is about
the length of a regular Boehm system Bb clarinet (a little longer,
actually),
and the other is quite a bit shorter (an inch or so). I'm guessing it's a
Bb
and a C clarinet. Below the Buffet logo, they each say (if I remember
correctly) 'RF' in large type. I have no interest in them, but if someone
out there does, e-mail me and I can find out more (I'm no longer on the
list,
so e-mail me directly). BTW, the pawn shop wants an ungodly amount of
money
for them - $1250 *each* - but who knows what that means.
