It was my understanding that the Concerto and the Opus had identical
accoustical (bore) dimensions and placements. Perhaps Leblanc has now
made a change in the mesaurements? The difference in the way one plays
over the other--some players prefer the Concerto over the Opus and vice
versa--was due to the Opus having the unstained wood and the extra keywork
which gives the instrument a different feel. I may have misunderstood
the bore dimensions but when Tom Ridenour was on campus (it will be 2
years ago this November) I thought that the question was asked and he
stated that they measured out the same. Just curious-my Concerto A
clarinet sounds very much like a very good A clarinet should-I have
two other A's (Selmers) and they sound like good clarinets also. Ron Monsen
