I didn't say I was fond of the sound.....I said, the clarinet(Opus) still
exhibited the "Leblanc Sound" - and I later described what I meant by the
"Leblanc sound"

I would like to point out that I received several nice notes from
professors at several universties, one stating, "we all know there are
characteristics to the Leblanc tone that are unique to Leblanc, so do not
feel as though you have to stop writing to the listserv on this issue." I
appreciate the many responses.....just wish they had been made publicly!
I always think before I put my fingers to the keyboard. We are not
necessarily writing critical papers here, nor are we passing our Doctoral
exams again....we are, I hope, providing opinions based on our experiences
(yes Bill, I did say that!), as well as what we have learned from other's
experiences.
