My friend, I wish that there was a program like this, it would make finding
sheet music SO much easier! Alas, there exists no such program, if what
you want to transcribe is indeed a CD recording. I have seen very
primitive pitch-to-midi converters, but they could only work well under
ideal conditions (ie solo instrument, no reverb, etc.) It is possible that
some major innovation has been made in the past 3 months, but I strongly
doubt it. If what you want to transcribe is a MIDI file, any good
sequencer (Cakewalk, Cubase, Logic, Finale, etc.) should be able to give
you good, or at least passable, results. Hope this has been of help!
