Dan, I hate to say this, but you are wrong. I am over twenty, and Brahms
has never been a favorite. I'm not saying that Weber is more exciting,
it's just a matter of personal preference. The second movement in the
Mozart I find is extremely overdone, and to make a comparison in terms of
excitement, I think the Beethoven Fifth Symphony is also extremely
overdone. The third movement in the Mozart, I just do not like the main
melody, or if you prefer, the A section. I happen to like the Weber
better because it is not heard as muzak every time you go into an
elevator. The second movement is beautiful and simple, yet has complexity
of moods. Perhaps I will like the Mozart later in life, but I truly
believe you cannot estimate the age of a person simply because they like a
certain piece. I know you were wrong about me.
