A fellow big-band musician plays alto sax and a Centered-Tone Selmer
He uses an O'Brian Glass mouthpiece. He advised me to use a mouthpiece
which most closely matches the opening of the sax mouthpiece. This
makes the mid-song switch less noticble to your embouchure and less
prone to squeeky first notes.
