Unusually RARE combination??? Surely you have not looked hard enough for the
multitude of pieces out there!! Here's a few suggestions which are considered
common for this ensemble:

Stravinsky - L'histoire du soldat
Bartok - Contrasts
Ives - Adagio
Khachaturian - Trio
Milhaud - Trio
Gotkovsky - Trio
Hovahness - Inventions on a Summer Solstice
T.C. David - Trio, Triple Concerto, Trio (3 pieces by this composer)
J. Vanhal - There are three trios by this composer as well (classical era)
N. Rorem - Schubertiade
T. Musgrave - Pierrot
P. Manourry - Trio (GREAT PIECE!!!)

That's just a few of the large number of works out there. A lot of the pieces
out there we have to thank Elsa Verdehr and the Verdehr Trio for. They
constantly commission new works and are continuously enlargening and
enrichening the repertoire for this chamber combination. Pieces for this
combination are not hard to find, please do your homework before posting
something to the list.

P.S. Recordings of the Verdehr Trio are available on the Crystal Records Label
and are advertised regularly in the Clarinet magazine.
