This is a great piece (big time audience hit)!!!!!! I gave the Phila
premiere of it with Assc. Concertmaster Phila. Orch. Nancy Bean. The
publisher is Doblinger (Mark C., add that to the database)
Towards the ending, it has a chromatic tongued scale that ends on a high C
(top C) and is held for what seems like an eternity.
I was told by a student who studied with Elsa (Mike Noseworthy - did you
tell me this?) that T.C. David loved to write obscenely high notes for the
Clarinet until his wife one day told him to stop that nonsense- and he did.
