Two comments, for what they're worth.
The Harbison Variations is a beautiful piece, but REALLY difficult, and
probably not something you'd want to add if you're already working up
Contrasts. Variation VIII, for clarinet alone, is a real finger-bender,
and Variation X, a canon at a sixteenth note, is really difficult from an
ensemble point of view. But maybe Gene is up to it (I'm not).
I'd also add Peter Sculthorpe's Dream Tracks, a stunning piece, except that
I've had it on order from Eble Music for five months and it still has not
arrived; I understand that Faber, the publisher, has to print up a new one
every time someone orders. Except for that, I'd recommend it highly. I
think you don't list this. If not, you should.

published pieces for that combination. There were too many to
list the entire set of data for each; please visit sneezy to
get the complete listing. There are a large number of other pieces
listed on sneezy that were commissioned or arranged by the Verdehr
Trio but no publisher is available; you could contact the Verdehr
Trio if any of those interest you.
