Dear Starr:
Although I don't know about old line ups of Yamaha clarinets, the current
catalog (as of May 1997) does not contain Yamaha Custom YCL81. However,
"custom" series bearing the number "8", for example YCL-853IIV which I own,
are expensive ones ranging from 260,000 yen to 560,000 yen without tax.
The current Yamaha catalog shows YCL 881 (Eb) whose price is 360,000 yen.
The retail value would be around 90 % of the catalog price and, ca 120 yen

intermediate horn YCL-650F is 180,000 yen, beginners plastic horn YCL-250
is 70,000 yen.
