I have been playing very (too) much saxophone lately, and I am looking for a
dark sounding orchestral mouthpiece/reed setup that will take enough air
so that the back pressure isn't so hard --more like the feel of a sax.
Currently I have a Mitchell Lurie Premium mouthpiece and I use Vandoren #4
reeds for classical gigs, but I feel like I'm going to explode when I blow.
I had a B45 mouthpiece but people say it's too bright sounding. I think that
means too many of the upper overtones and not enough bottom.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.
