Gene,

I am sold on the Morgan mouthpiece. It works well for me. I get a
dark, fluid sound. I use it with Vandoren Black Master reeds and right
now a Rovner Eddie Daniels ligature. I have used it in the past with a
Bonade and a string ligature. It is not too high priced, and it is a
good mouthpiece. Better yet, for teachers, he has a student model that
IMHO beats anything else for only $35-40!! (at the highest). Students
don't squeak, and they can slur much better--just better overall.
Morgan has found a design that reduces the "highs" in the sound. That
is the best explanation I can give. Bottom line: I like my sound and
my students sound.
