Subj: A better instrument
Date: Sun, 28 Sep 1997 18:29:22 -0400

For about nine years now I have played a Selmer Signet 100 clarinet. It=
has served me well, and was a great instrument for a beginner, but now I=
am noticing all sorts of radical intonation problems (throat tones,=
altissimo, etc.) and am looking to buy a much better instrument. I know=
that the R13 has been widely regarded to be one of the best, but what else=
is out there? How, for example, does a Leblanc Concerto or LL compare in=
quality, intonation, etc. ? I don't really have access to try most of=
these instruments, there really are not many dealers around me. Any help=
would be appreciated.
