One good reason: clarinets don't bounce. Playing outdoors while sitting
is one thing, marching with them is another. And breaking the lower
tenon of an Artley (the ultimate fate of mine, btw) is much less
heartrending than doing it to your R13.

Frankly, make me a decent METAL clarinet for marching and I will be your
loyal customer forever.
