Re christening clarinets:

There are some difficult choices here. Do you baptize by immersion? Or
just sprinkle? (And if you baptize by immersion, what if the clarinet
doesn't float?) What is the appropriate garment for the clarinet to wear
to the christening? Is a swab sufficient, or is it too revealing? If the
clarinet seems distressed, is it permissible to put a reed and ligature in
its mouth to pacify it? Who should you invite to the service? Will people
who don't play clarinet understand the importance of such a ceremony? Will
people who do? May you invite only other clarinets, or must you also
invite their persons? Is it ever appropriate to invite an oboe? In your
announcement in the press, do you just give the instrument's name, or do
you also indicate that it is a clarinet?

Hoping you can help me.
