Yes, but Dan's point is still valid - One must remember that the RDA
only specifies a minimum to avoid deficiency, it does not represent
either a) the ideal intake required for optimal health; or b) an
upper limit, beyond which intake will lead to serious pathological
effects. The current estimate of the "irony" LD50 (the dose at
which 50% of the clarinet players tested died or became
oboists (the end-points were considered identical)) is about 2 gg.
(gags)/day, unless one is a "valley girl" clarinetist, where
tolerance is measure in spoons... I suspect the list is currently
providing at least 1000 - 1500 mgg/day.
