I may be a bit naive here, but as Fischer is already the largest
stockholder, surely control is already outside of Britain.
I personally (being a Brit.) don't think it is going to make much
difference if Fischer sells their share. Brass will continue to be made
here in the UK, and Buffet will continue in France and Germany etc.. I
suppose a new owner might want changes though.
I understand that Fischer may not succeed in selling their empire as one
unit, and the various bits may be sold off separately anyway. Who knows.
