Just make sure that you do these 2 things:
1. make sure that the sockets are dried (not just swabbing the bore, but
disassemble, and dry the sockets (or you get wood rot, or a nasty buildup)
2. Put a cover (like a pillow case) over your Clarinet so that it doesn't
get a lot of dust in the keywork.

One other thing, in the winter time, what will you do to humidify the
instrument (assuming that it is wood) ??

Which is the very reason I bought a stand to keep my clarinet
on when I'm not using it. A $10.00 investment. I'm *sure*
it's kept me from sitting on it (or rolling off my chair
onto the floor).
Also, I keep my clarinet assembled & ready to use on that
stand. That way, if the mood strikes me, I'll pick it up
and practice for a few minutes, even if it's not my "practice
time". The corks might wear a bit more that way, but the
corks are cheap, and I play it more often.
