I agree with Jeremy Yager, the G-C register is sometimes hard to control, it
takes some working with. One thing I would like to add is sometimes the
register keys don't always go down on second, etc. hand instruments. Finger
a Middle B-flat and look at the hole for the register key. If you notice the
pad is not always closed, you may need to tighten or change a spring. Just a
quick thing to check about bass clarinets.
