I'm hoping someone can help me on this one. I recently bought
a secondhand (thirdhand? fourthhand?...) Selmer Bundy bass
clarinet (low Eb, not C) with serial number 57785. The previous
owner didn't know how old it was. Can anyone out there give me
a clue, based on the serial number?
Also - are there any bass clarinet quirks I should know about
that are different to a normal Bb? (And what *was* that test that
told you whether it was wood or plastic? :-) )
