Klarinet Archive - Posting 000921.txt from 1997/09
From: Mark Charette <charette@-----.com> Subj: Web Page Authors Please Read Date: Fri, 19 Sep 1997 17:17:16 -0400
To all those that have "borrowed" the clarinet pictures
that I have scanned in and edited:
*Please* indicate the manufacturer of the clarinet in
the "ALT" tag. I asked for and received permission from
various manufacturers to scan and use their pictures for
the Clarinet Info Pages, with the understanding that the
manufacturer's name and model would be attached to the
picture. Please follow those guidelines. If you examine the
HTML source for the Clarinet Info Pages you'll find the
relevant information. I *don't* mind people "borrowing"
the pictures at all; in fact, I'm happy & proud that my
couple hours of editing has carried so far from the original
pages.
Also, if you use Klarinet articles from the archives for
material for your pages, please check with the author(s) for
permission. Not only is it good manners, it's the law; Klarinet
postings fall under the International Copyright and Fair Use
laws. All articles from Klarinet on the Clarinet Info Pages
are there by permission of the authors; all Web page authors
need to remember to do the same thing. Most (*all* so far!)
members won't mind you using their postings. If you edit them
for brevity & content, remember to let the poster review the
finished article before you put it up on your site.
