As has already been mentioned to you, such charts already exist in the
catalogs of several of the major retailers. However, each one that I have
seen compares the tip openings only of mouthpieces. And, there are many
other factors which determine the way a mouthpiece plays or responds.
These additional factors would include the length of the lay, the shape
and size of the chamber, the length of the opening, the width of the
rails, and many others. What would be really helpful, in my opinion,
would be a chart which would begin to figure in more of those items.
