Thanks for the exhausting research! I agree with you, and would at the
Selmer clarinets to that list. But a few extra grams may be just what the
doctor ordered to get more clarinetist to go to the doctor. If I were
playing a clarinet that had a bit of weight problem, I might want to try a
neck strap. I play alto as well, but I would not want to shed for three
hours with out a neck strap. I think it would be interesting to find out
just how much more the Greenline ( and here I feel like I am back in Boston
on the T) weighs then the none composite clarinets.
