I am recommending only Greenline R-13's to my college students now.
Nearly every R-13 that has been purchased in my area in the past four
years has cracked within the first year...including two of my R-13's and
one R-13 Prestige. I personally prefer the Prestige (gee...that LH Eb key
is cool!....not to mention silver...and a little badge on the top of the
upper joint....but hey, no one's perfect). Most students at my school are
buying the Greenline, and I have yet to find one of those that they have
selected that is not a beautiful instrument. I believe the tone and pitch
is as good or better than its wood counterpoint...perhaps because there is
not so much movement of wood during climate changes. Haven't ever seen
one crack!

At any rate.....I personally think the Greenline is your best choice!
