Just a little story I thought I'd share with you all.

Many years ago when I was about 14 years old I had a friend whose
father sold and repaired electronic organs. One day my friend, who
plays saxophone, and I were in his shop when someone brought in a
tenor saxophone saying that it was hard to blow and sounded stuffy.
My friend's father took the instrument into the back of the shop and
asked us to see if we could see what was wrong. It was almost
impossible to blow through! We took the reed off looked into the
mouthpiece and immediately saw the problem. It was blocked solid with
gunge. Rinsing it under running water brought it all out in one lump
- disgusting. That little job cost the owner one pound - 50p each for
me and my friend.
