Transposed? To what? I run through it on bass all the time in its
original soprano clarinet form. It's great for air consistency and
loose fingers. I have yet to actually perform it on bass with an
orchestra, but it's an interesting idea. Sounds great in the low
registers, and the quick section at the end would be dynamite for
an audience. Why not play it as is? (yeah, yeah, Dan, wrong in-
strument, but hey, Stoltzman's Mozart "bassoon" concerto recording
comes off beautifully -- musically -- correct instrument or not).
