Thank you for the return post. I will say that I want to spend more time
and thought finding a teacher than I did when I was entered the University
of Oregon. The reason I wrote you was again, I found, from listening to
your recordings, that you do have great insight regarding chamber-music
performance. I am always impressed with your comments on the Clarinet list.

I wrote to inquire if you taught either privately or with a college. It is
my hope continue my study, as a clarinetist while maintaining my career as
a teacher and performer. I hope to study for two summers before asking for
a sabbatical for a year. I think I understand that you are located in New
York state I would be willing to go there in the summers to study. I think
that although I am older (37) I keep falling in love with the clarinet.
Even though I work hard teaching school, wind up playing 2 hr. a day, and
more on the weekends. I am working on three pieces that I hope to the
Suttermiester, Copland Sonata (violin, transcribed) and J. Tower's Wings.
My wife and I just moved to the Central Cost of Ca, from Eugene Oregon, and
I hope to do a recital soon. I will need to find a good pianist.

If you are at all interested in an older student, or if you have a studio
in N.Y, I am interested in the possibility of studying with you. If not
and you have any other suggestions I would love to hear your opinion.
