I doubt if Henri Selmer played with the Boston Symphony. Anyway,
I'm fairly certain that the player was Gaston Hamelin who had been
Rosario's teacher at one point.

Clark is right. This story was told on this list a while back when we were
hot into the material thing. I do believe the player was not Henri Selmer.
Hamelin served as principle clarinet in Paris and BSO. He did however play
on clarinets of Henri Selmer (14.85 bore). Hamelin was a French
clarinetist.
Koussevitzky conducted Boston 1924 - 1949 (he died June 4, 1951)
