I think it may be Michele Incenzo. I know that he is the Professor of
Clarinet for that school, and I think he is Principal Clarinet. Anyone who
knows for sure - feel free to respond.

Subject: vibrato

Last night our local public radio station played a new CD of the Pines of Rome
played by the National Orchestra of the Academy of St. Cecelia. The famous
clarinet solo, played with a very expressive use of vibrato, was so gorgeous
it made me wonder again why all the fuss is made about the use of vibrato in
"legit" playing.
Does anyone on the list know who plays principal in this orchestra? The new
release, BTW, is on the Conifer label and includes the Roman Festivals and
Fountains of Rome.
